Since the start of The True Gem company, the Love Stories received by our community have been an integral part of who we are and what we stand for. Reading through these Love Stories has left our team feeling as though WE are the ones on the receiving end of it all. So thank you, from all of us, for being so raw and real. It has been a truly humbling experience for us to read your stories and celebrate with you in this way, and we are excited to now be able to share that experience with our very own True Gem community, the authors of the Love Stories themselves!

We hope you enjoy reading these Love Stories as much as we have. We feel honored to be able to celebrate love with each and every one of you!

I have known my husband since the 5th grade. There was a lot of back and forth with being friends or more than friends in middle school, and we began dating seriously in high school. He is basically my middle school sweetheart! Throughout high school and college I knew he was the one for me. He was my first and only boyfriend I have ever had.

We always talked about getting married some day, in the future, and that day quickly approached. I had a feeling the proposal was going to happen in the near future, but I did not expect it, and therefore was completely surprised!

It was a summer day, and Josh and I wanted to spend time with my family. My cousins informed me they would be taking my siblings out for ice cream and we should meet them there. While on our way to the ice cream shop, Josh and I received a call informing us about my cousin's boyfriend's car breaking down. We felt rushed and stressed, and the funny thing is, my stomach hurt so bad. I just wanted to hurry to the ice cream shop! We instead rushed to the auto store to pick up tools in order to repair the car. We then drove directly to the elementary school I used to attend as a child.

Josh proposed to me at my former elementary school, on a bridge that connects the building to the neighborhood nearby. This was a very memorable, special place for me. I had gone to school here, taken prom photos here, and walked through this bridge many times over the years. When we arrived to the elementary school, Josh took off towards that bridge and that was when I caught a glimpse of the lights, roses, and noticed one of my favorite songs, “Falling All In You” by Shawn Mendes, was playing. I was incredibly confused over the entire situation that was taking place before me, but honestly, it was everything I dreamed of and more.

I was surprised and overwhelmed with joy to be engaged to my forever love. I am truly grateful for True Gem and the integral part that your company has played in our love story. My Sienna ring is perfect! We have been happily married for over one year now, and we are incredibly excited for what our future holds! Also, the photos attached feature our traditional Hmong clothing, and we wanted to share that with you! - Keeley
