Since the start of The True Gem company, the Love Stories received by our community have been an integral part of who we are and what we stand for. Reading through these Love Stories has left our team feeling as though WE are the ones on the receiving end of it all. So thank you, from all of us, for being so raw and real. It has been a truly humbling experience for us to read your stories and celebrate with you in this way, and we are excited to now be able to share that experience with our very own True Gem community, the authors of the Love Stories themselves!

Emily and I met in early 2019 and quickly realized that within each other, we had found a safe haven. In my eyes, she was gracious and fiercely loyal. According to her, I was tenacious and not afraid to go after what I want. We fell in love and moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where we both started new jobs and began building a life we loved. As someone that really values meaningful connection, calling someone your best friend holds a lot of weight to me. That’s your “BFF” but are they the BEST friend that you have? Would they be there for you no matter what? Would they hold your hand while you walk through the trenches?

A caption I see a lot on social media when people get engaged is, “I get to marry my best friend!” I used to roll my eyes, but now I get it. I married the best friend I have, and I married the best person I have ever known. Emily is the kind of good that makes you want to be better. On March 14, 2021, I got to marry MY best friend in front of a handful of our closest loved ones, and it was the best day of my life. - Whitney
